Exhibiting a fierce obsession to merge the gap between modern hip hop and experimental R&B, Los Angeles based artist Lio Diya delivers an immersive outer worldly experience.
Born in a gritty old city in the northeast hailed as the “City of the Damned” Lio Diya began producing for artists in the greater Boston area; eventually leading to the creation of his own sound and artistry. Diya utilizes lush vocal harmonies over atypical hip hop instrumentals to evoke feelings of relentless vigor and determination, fueled by contemplative thinking. Influenced by Kid Cudi’s dreamy hums, Nirvana’s grunge aesthetic, Teeb’s familiar yet distinct textures, and ASAP Rocky’s elegance; Diya creates a blend of sounds that avoid conformity and drive innovation.
